For reasons of safety, our club has adopted the wearing of hi-vis safety orange headwear for all paddle events that venture in or near commercial vessel lanes or areas of high vessel usage. This rule comes into effect 1st July 2018.
Safety is important to the club, but ultimately, it is the responsibility of the individual paddler.
Note: Alternatively, other types of headwear may be worn provided it meets the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4602.1 for high visibility orange safety garments.
This is our club's recommended paddle headwear for safety and UV protection.
